FOUR TOP CEOS FROM THE IT INDUSTRY HEADLINE COMDEX/SPRING AND WINDOWS WORLD

Keynote Series CEOs of Microsoft, Silicon Graphics, AT&T Solutions and CyberCash Take to the Stage in Chicago Next Month

NEEDHAM, Mass., March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Ziff-Davis (NYSE: ZD) today announced that Microsoft Corporate Chairman and CEO Bill Gates will kick-off a keynote series at COMDEX/Spring '99 and WINDOWS WORLD '99, featuring CEOs from Silicon Graphics, Inc.; AT&T Solutions and CyberCash, Inc. On the cusp of the millennium, these four visionaries will each give their personal snapshot of the technological future, then present their corporate strategy to make this vision real. COMDEX/Spring and WINDOWS WORLD, featuring two dedicated conferences and exhibitions, run from April 19-22, 1999, at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Microsoft has historically used WINDOWS WORLD as the platform to announce its most important initiatives and products, and at the 1999 event the company will hold to this tradition. In addition to providing the world preview of Windows 2000 at WINDOWS WORLD '99, Bill Gates will lay out the concept of the "Digital Nervous System" and how Microsoft sees the technology pieces fitting into the technology landscape. Mr. Gates is scheduled to give the opening keynote on Monday, April 19 at 9:00 a.m.

On Monday evening at 5:00 p.m., Richard Belluzzo, Chairman and CEO of Silicon Graphics, Inc., will provide a rare glimpse into Silicon Graphics' strategy for the new millennium. The company offers the broadest range of products in the industry -- from low-end desktop workstations to servers and high-end supercomputers. Mr. Belluzzo joined Silicon Graphics in January of 1998 after a 22-year career at Hewlett-Packard Company, where he held a variety of key management, marketing and strategic planning positions. Most recently at HP, Belluzzo was executive vice president and general manager of the company's Computer Organization which, at the time of his departure, had combined annual revenues in excess of $35 billion.

Electronic commerce has become a 21st-century business survival issue, and powering up the networking infrastructure can help companies leap to the forefront of the electronic marketplace, revolutionize their industries and increase their valuation. Rick Roscitt, President and CEO of AT&T Solutions, will outline networking as a strategic enabler for business transformation in "Networking the New E-conomy" on Tuesday, April 20 at 9:00 a.m. From the point-of-view of one of the world's largest telecommunications companies, Mr. Roscitt will profile networking as a strategic corporate tool that can enable companies to reach corporate goals and ultimately increase the value of their business.

Continuing the theme of e-commerce's radical impact on global business, William N. Melton, President and CEO of CyberCash, Inc., will take an in-depth look at this phenomenon on Wednesday, April 21 at 9:00 a.m. CyberCash, headquartered in Reston, Virginia, is recognized as the world's leading provider of secure electronic commerce payment solutions -- although several companies offer electronic commerce payment solutions, CyberCash is the only company to offer multiple payment types including credit, cash and check.

All keynote presentations will be held at their respective time in the Arie Crowne Theatre and setting will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The COMDEX/Spring '99 and WINDOWS WORLD '99 keynote series is co-sponsored by Ziff-Davis, Forbes and Forbes ASAP.
