The interesting thing is that when margins are good and supply is scarce they want the supply, but don't make as much on it as would if they had made it themselves. On the the other hand when there is over supply they have to buy it even though they don't want it, but they still make money on it because they buy it for less than they can make it for.

The net effect is to make MU less cyclical. But think about what it does to the JV. It makes them even more cyclical than a cyclical industry!
