We have those in Illinois, mostly in the cooling lakes at the power plants. The state record is around 23 pounds but a 10 is a real trophy here.

Got into several schools of 10 to 12 pounders in Arkansas. Coupla hundred square feet of water would boil. A large redfin V-waked on the surface always got nailed.
