scumbria. re:IBM and Compaq will probably just let them go out of business. K7 is not an interesting product to them. They would much rather let 95% of the profit on each box go to Intel. It's better than throwing money away at a death-bed company with death-bed products, while other OEMs build STRONGER relationships with Intel and build a stronger competitive position vis-a-vis Compaq and IBM. Look at Compaq. Its stock/company performance has been dismal since its partnerships with DEC & AMD. joey
