The United States is loaded with people of dual nationality. Greek immigrants who take U.S. citizenship, Swiss descendents who keep up their citizenship, and many other have dual citizenship. No foreign born citizen loses his American citizenship without a definitiave act of renunciation. A famous case is Andreas Papandreou, and American citizen (a U.S. naval officer in world war II) who returned to Greece to take up the ministry in his father's cabinet, and then, after being imprisoned and sentenced to death by the military, became Premier (and a political opponent of the U.S.) I am not aware that he renounced his U.S. citizenship.
