Rocky, you must have a relationship to David Breitigam, the so-called author of the failed clik!. David (a) uses Syquest drives and "everyone he knows" uses them principally, and (b) uses a Mac. Sounds like you. Unsubstantiated slamming of a product can be cause for legal action. This person called David Breitigam also posted these following messages on Dejanews:

I know nothing about ZIPs so far, but the organization where I am employed
has scads of SyQuest Mechanisms on their Macs and a big cardboard box of
crashed cartridges. You can see the groove left by the crashed head on
everyone of them.David Breitigam, Ridgecrest. CA>>

<<I've got a IIsi with Daystar 33Mhz Turbo 040. Apple doesn't support
running MacOS 8 in such a config even though it is an O40. I've been able
to install it but can't figure out how to make it think it is an 040
machine so that it will run. Tried "Wish I were" extension but it doesn't
kick in before the boot checks the gestalt ID.
Anyone got OS 8 to run on a IIsi or like (030) machine (without installing
a Turbo 601)???Help would be appreciated.>>

<<Recently I shoved my DC-25 (inside a backpack) too hard into an airport
locker and damaged the LCD display. The top (1/7th?) of the LCD display is
now blank and the plastic clear LCD cover has a gish in the upper left
corner. I sent it into Kodak. They want 260.95 to repair. I paid 249.95
which included 15MB compact flash. Go figure. I said no thanks. Does
anyone know if/how/where I can get an LCD to perform the repair myself?
Otherwise...Anybody out there who is hard up for a digital camera and does
not mind the imperfect LCD (has an optical viewfinder) is welcome to make
me an offer (I'll probably keep the CompactFlash). I'm probably going to
move on to a better model. Anyway, that was today's lesson in the cost of
parts vs. the cost of labor.>>
