The stock was soaring, what was management supposed to do? Wait and let the price go to $25, $30 and then announce and crash further? More than likely when the price jumped so radically, it forced the hand of FVCX to announce that day in order to prevent a worse situation. To me it showed some class and responsibility. Bad earnings warnings are never easy, but best to get it done quickly and prevent even larger losses by shareholders.
