I may regret it but,
I see little reason for optimism. Wearable are here. But they are not catching on. If they were, we would be seeing press release after press release announcing purchases. I see nothing but a lot of talk, hype and hope. No indication of actual sales or orders from customers. And this is reflected in the stock price, which has languished in the 4 to 5 range for months.
let me take your comments and give it the MSB spin. I would be disheartened too had I bought in at a price higher than the range has been for the last month or so. However, in my case, I had some idea as to what to expect and bought or sold accordingly. It boils down to this as I see it, either one believes in which case the stock price is only a temporary set-back in the scheme of things, or one does not in which case an investment wouldn't be a wise choice.
As far as wearables not catching, I disagree. Somebody must be buying them because in the FAB "buy" opinion it lists about 5 companies who have already bought wearables. The market is going to take time to develop. Maybe they won't be the mass merchandised objects like computers are today. Maybe, they'll be customised to fit a particular need by a customer. A particular customer buys 1, 2, or 3 hundred such units and we're talking revenues pretty quickly. Three or four customers with the possibility of more using the above perameters, and XYBR becomes a somebody. The market, even though wearables are here, is still relatively in its infancy. XYBR will suffer growing pains, even make a few mistakes (and clearly being late with their year-end report is one, IMO), but I'd be willing to bet that they'll be around bigger and stronger in the next year or two, and those who believe as much will chalk up the past as a learning experience. Hopefully, this seeming incompetence on management's part will be a lesson quickly learned and never repeated.
I believe that many questions will be answered with the year-end report and more so with the 1Q report. I also believe that the stock price will eventually trend higher, but of course that assumes that management will get its collective shit together.
Having said the above, however, I hedged my bets for downside risk and sold 2/3 of my position earlier in the week.
We've waited this long, May doesn't seem so far off.
Hoping we'll all do well with XYBR,
