Anyway, your second post (quoting Kumar on CMBC) basically expressed the same thought. Pfiffer needs his head examined, and other body parts as well. He is not up to this job, obviously, and flirting with Jerry Sanders certainly didn't help.
For companies of this size and scope, the quality/caliber of senior management and leadership is of supreme importance for their continued success. On this score the four horsemen (INTC, CSCO, MSFT, DELL) all have the stuff, but not CPQ--there is no more illusion left anywhere.
