Scumbria, why do you choose past year and not past two years ?

For the past year, Intel's plan has been to bump up clock speeds by
a few MHz, SSE, and throw an L2 cache onto Celeron.

In the meantime, AMD has doubled their clock speeds and
introduced an impressive list of new products.

AMD was the first to release 233Mhz K6 in 97 if memory served. And
they are now behind Intel. So who make progress better in the past
two years ?
