Is CPQ a big customer for WDC? They are QNTM's largest, especially after the DEC merger. Not good.

I wonder if the large customer for WDC may have been IBM. But then, I don't know who their top OEMs are. Have been reading a couple of articles which suggest that IBM is either going to pull out of PCs altogether (I think I posted one to that effect on the PC thread) or are going to ramp down, and only sell on the Net plus maybe one or two distributors (can try to find that one if anyone is interested). They are certainly cutting back on desktop products, whatever their strategy, and probably will continue to be more aggressive in selling components. I would guess that WDC would suffer the most from that strategy, especially given their "sweetheart" deal. A trojan horse if ever there was one.
