NEW SOUTH AFRICAN GOLD STOCK INDEX
(vronsky)
Apr 08, 10:40

Thx to our friend Daan Joubert in Johannesburg, we have
the following update about gold stocks in South Africa
(Johannesburg).

The JSE All Gold Index no longer exists (previously seen
at Yahoo). It has been replaced with a Gold Stocks
Composite Index, which may be seen at:
bfanet.com

Once you go there, put a check mark in the MOVING
AVERAGE 200 day box. Then click RETRIEVE. Notice the
index is close to penetrating the 200 day moving
average. When it does we should see a burst of higher
prices, just as we witnessed in 1995/96 and 1998.

When the JSE Gold Index penetrated the 200 day MA in
1995/95, the Gold Index zoomed 50% in less than 5
months. In a 200 day MA repeat performance in 1998, the
Gold Index soared 40% within 6 months. Well, we are very
close to an ENCORE.

Whereas most all South African gold stocks will
participate in a new resurgence of interest in this
sector, stocks like Harmony Gold Mining, Durban Deep and
Randgold & Exploration shouold do noticeably better than
the Gold Stock Index. In the event the New Gold Stock
Index rises 50%, we would expect HGMCY, DROOY and RANGY
to soar 65% to 80% - as their fundamentals and
technicals are superior to the average of all the rest.
