Dear Dirk,

I've been investing since before the '87 crash. I had just bought a signifigant amount in mutual funds. Being new I was shaken and decided to sell and take what I could and absorb the losses. The only problem was I couldn't get through on the phone to the funds because they were so overwhelmed with people calling trying to sell. I'm sure glad I didn't get through. It all came back and I made money because I didn't sell. Even if the market turns signifigantly negative, it will come back if your patient. I believe in the Warran Buffet investing philosohpy: buy a good stock and stick with it. It will make you money. It seems like if you are a trader instead of an investor for the long term, only the broker wins most of the time.

If the market does go down signifigantly, buy good Blue Chip stocks and hang onto them. You only lose if you sell.

Sincerely,

Dean Rogers
