Hello KevinG: VISX
VISX has a market cap of more than $4billions. I doubt if several of the top laser firms combined have a market cap exceeding $1billion. Spectra-Physics is about $150M cap.GSI Lumonics trades for a few dollars per share--I missed the number of shares. Lumonics is big in industrial lasers. Just typing in physics into Yahoo's symbol lookup for stocks gives several apparently medical laser firms on the listing. Seems VISX is way out of line. VISX has options traded on the CBOE. That would seem to be the better way to synthesize a position rather than short or long the stock.
Best regards,
m
