Much better for him to say he screwed up and knows how to fix it than to say "external forces beyond my control and understanding kept us from selling enough software". Oh man, you said it! You are also correct about him seeming confused and unfocused. When I heard that and the other stuff about "victim of our own success" crap I knew I'd be heading for the exits in the morning. Can't believe what a moron I was for not buying puts for protection during the Feb/Mar. I hope Bill takes the trouble to prepare a credible list of reasons and fixes for the miss before he speaks to investors again on the 19th. Yeah, he better, and I think he probably will do the best he can. Good enough? We'll see, but the elements of the Q1 problems that were discussed on the call this week frankly sounded like the remedies are going to take some time. I do agree with most of what you've said in your excellent earlier posts this week. I'll be watching for a re-entry point but I don't think it will be soon....and when I do, I'll be hedged! H.
