a xoom.com (xmcm) play?!

I live in a RR area and have never used worldnet. How is the web page setup on each compared to the free providers like gcty xmcm and lcos (which has both tripod & angelfire)? If it is lacking xmcm could be a good fit(and it may be regardless). They have a strong European presence and appear to be growing their subscribers 25%+ per quarter from 7,000,000 currently and they just did a secondary that gives them or their acquirer another .13 billion to play with.

They also have broken into the top 15 in Media Metrix reach statistics this year. Perhaps they could be had for about 1.5 billion (up from around ~.9 right now). In some ways this could be much more beneficial than a worldnet acquisition (the only positive with worldnet would be access for travelers with laptops and for those all too frequent @home cable network downtimes) for @home given the additional international reach they'd provide. If anyone has access to the full statistics media metrix has (which are unfortunately only for the US market) I'd be curious to know what the overlap between xmcm and xcit is (the lower the better I guess). full disclosure - I own xcit (since 12/98) & xmcm
