Alan,

Every man will be judged for his own sin. The circumstances are not what defines the man but only act as instruments to help expose that which is truly within his heart. If you want to purify gold then turn up the heat and the dross will rise to the surface, no different with people; send the fire of adversity and its not long before that dross starts rising as well.

In other words, nobody will have a valid excuse for rejecting the Son of God.
