Windseye: Underlying the apparent automaton statements of 1998 and 1999 is a massive change in fundamentals.

In 1Q 1998, earnings were 1 cent. 1Q 1999 we are told they will be 15 cents (maybe more).

In 1Q 1999, revenues are to be $9.4 billion. In 1Q 1998 ( I can't find the figure, but would $5 billion be in the ball-park?).

Bottom line - last year's low of $23+ was for a fundamentally different entity than it would be if it reaches those levels this year.

But what chance does value analysis have when momentum takes over?
