One of the macabre footnotes to this sorry mess will be what the analysts do over the weekend.

When Mason talked to CSFB in February, he is reported to have guided them to revenues of $9.75 and to an earnings hit from slow sales and devaluation of 2-3 cents from the original 35/37 cents. They all went off and reduced estimates by 5-10 cents.

Six weeks later, they are being told by Mason that revenues are going to be nearer $9.4 billion and earnings 15 cents. What will they do? Will they accept his word or lop off another few cents from the 15?
