"The French "founded" Quebec" How about Nov Scotia, Newfoundland, Ontario and indeed Canada. You should not attempt to distort history just because Wolfe defeated Montcalm on the Plains of Abraham in 1759. After the defeat, French Canada became Biritsh by force of arms. The British government murdered and departed most of the population of Acadia soon after and stole all the property and land of the French who had settled their beginning in 1606. I have one of my great grandparents who were of Acadian heritage and take a keen interest in the history of Canada and Acadia (Nova Scotia). This was ethnic cleansing British style in 1758. I am not, however, totally unsympathetic to the British since Wolfe had to protect his rear while besieging the city of Quebec since the French refused to adopt the Anglican religion and swear allegiance to the King of England.
