I reviewed the buy abx and sell calls vs sell abx puts and suggest this...

IF abx tanks , you are really handcuffed either way...but, if you sell the puts, your money earns more in interest waiting for the expiry than it would from the abx dividend...

I took one example of abx at 25.20 with a July 25 put and call, the financial impact looks the same to me, except, that you get a higher interest rate on cash as I mentioned and the # of transactions may be less if you sold the put and didn't have to exercise, vs buying stock, selling a call and selling the stock once called...
