My god it's true! We've been bought by the feed and grain people!

OMAHA, Neb., March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Data Transmission Network Corporation (DTN)(Nasdaq: DTLN) announced today the acquisition of Asset Growth Corporation (AGC) and Paragon Software, Inc. (PSI). AGC, a holding company, held an option to purchase PSI. In order to
acquire PSI, DTN purchased both AGC and PSI.

Incubated by Motorola engineers, PSI is an Internet company that supplies real-time streaming (continuously updated) quotes to investors. PSI provides Internet subscribers with an affordable and
flexible real-time quote system that includes such features as scrolling ticker tape, free historical and intra-day charts and portfolio analysis. PSI markets its product under the name InterQuote (www.interquote.com).

and, they don't think too much of us either:

Wood explained that InterQuote fills the gap for the low-end basic financial service broadening the scope for the company's Internet subscriptions. He said, "This is an excellent way to capture, at a very low cost, first time Internet investors."

and according to this choice little piece from WSJ, even DTN doesn't think too much of itself -- nobody wanted to buy it, so instead they bought Paragon - doesn't that bolster your confidence

OMAHA, Neb. (Dow Jones)--Data Transmission Network Corp. (DTLN) said that after months of attempting to solicit an offer for the company, it will resume its focus on growth.
In a press release Thursday, the company said it plans agressive investments in its weather services and financial services divisions, both of which have strong Internet delivery components.
Data Transmission, an electronic information and communication services company, said it plans to shift from making hardware to relying on new forms of electronic data delivery, including the Internet.

hmmmm, well I am beginning to see the real reason we are having all those problems - another case of you get what you pay for....
