Not that it is necessary to take sides on this issue but I would agree with Tim Luke. It sounded like a lot of crap given the time of the day and the reckless affect it had on trading for the rest of the day. I would have preferred to stay up 3/4 of a point and yes I do believe that the RUMOR ruined an otherwise nice day for FORE.

Seems to me the rumor didn't do anything, and would have died quietly, had folks (like TL) not made a big stink about it.

If it did have an effect on trading, which I sincerely doubt, it points out how many idiots are running around trying to make a quick buck by trading in and out of stocks on pathetic rumors. If so, the same idiots who bought the stock back down in the afternoon were the ones who bid it up in the morning.

But of course rumors that predict good news (not that Len's was a rumor of bad news) are always acceptable, right? Or does anything go when the market is closed?
