I think Intel will do fine, as you say, and at least meet estimated earnings ($1.09-$1.10). Next, however, they'll need to have a positive conference call to not tank both themselves and the market. Right now the sentiment is definitely negative on the boxmakers and Intel, although Intel was "healing" very nicely until CPQ dropped their bomb Friday. I'll be listening to the conference call, as usual, and posting about it on Intel, unless (fine with me) someone beats me to it. Jeff Fox did last time and did a great job. Speaking of Compaq, this company continues to be a fly in the ointment for all tech stockholders, especially those with Dell, Intel, etc. Last year they allegedly did the channel stuffing thing, this year, allegedly, again. Oh well, Monday, Monday (Mama Cass).
