So I will take it that you believe Yahoo is presently valued base on their earnings rather then their prospects of future growth or is this an over simplification on my part?

Vendit,

Quite the contrary. Yahoo and the other internets are valued on a basis I cannot quite understand. It is definitely not current earnings, and I also believe it is not based on a reasonable assumption of future growth. Granted, Yahoo will grow in the future, but IMHO, it will not grow at a sufficient rate to justify these current valuations. No, Yahoo is valued by some method that I admit I do not comprehend.

Other examples of things I did not understand how they were valued:

Tulips
Zitel (ZITL)
Presstek (PRST)
All crashed.
