Lac de Gras ultimately empties into the Coronation Gulf, via the Coppermine River. The only community on it is...Kugluktuk (Coppermine), which is 400 km downstream.

As to Snap Lake...it itself empties somewhere. To be honest...I don't know where...but given its location, I'm guessing Great Slave Lake. Possibly the Coronation Gulf instead. The elevation of Snap Lake is 433 metres, which is the highest elevation of any lake I can see up there.

Walt might be able to give you a more definitive answer as to where it empties. But...it does empty somewhere.

Yes...Snap Lake is a long way from igloos. That's because it's a long way from Inuit hunters. It's close to the traditional hunting lands of the Dene, however.
