Gauguin, I am new here, and don't want to step afoul of the rules. I understand that a little bit of market talk is ok, but the uzi comes out if there is too much.

I think we had a confluence of several factors:

1. baby boomers maturation into saving portions of their lives and retirement needs.
2. the temporary defeat of inflation allowing for the "printing" of a lot of dollars.
3. the wall street marketing effort peaking
4. real effects like the computer making production and business in all aspects more efficient and productive.

But, the business cycle hasn't been repealed. I think we are seeing a mania that says things will never be less than Camelot. In all things, storm clouds gather and strike suddenly.

hope i'm not talking about this too much.
