C.L., You're probably right. Plus they're no doubt listening to their tax advisors. This conversion is tax-free only as long as the stock price is lower than their tax basis of their assets, which is the case presently. Latest I hear on the Fortenberry well is that some "technical difficulties " have caused some delays but the hole is still very much intact. Also they should be connecting the new pipeline up any day now. Folks may be waiting for the 4th quarter #'s to come out before buying this. I believe that strategy could backfire though, especially if Benz announces what its current daily production rate is in the same release.
