Mohan: You are on target here....DELL IMHO is a firm that doesn't have "a monopoly" but it clearly has generated better ROIC and better returns for investors than some of the co-called monopoly firms (like INTC and MSFT) ..<GGG>....

We are in business as investors to make MONEY and not bet on monopolies... I choose to bet on MSD and his team -- they have a unique virtual integration business model that is the envy of the high tech industry. Friday I sold the last of my AOL (at around $161)-- great company -- had a nice runup...but I diversified into some younger internut plays. DELL is now my highest market cap. company in the
portfolio and its got a reasonable valuation, great growth prospects, and is helping to enable the digital economy to reach its potential.
