Software upgrade (planned availability 2Q97) is required." Also.. hayes.com "Hayes will offer 56K upgrades to any North American client modem beginning in the first quarter of 1997." "Hayes will upgrade any modem at any speed from any manufacturer to 56K for only $99! Users who purchase new HayesACCURA 336 and OPTIMA 336 products will receive a free upgrade. My take is the chipset will be ready before the end of 1Q97 and the software will be ready before the end of 2Q97.... until later...
