How many times has Warren Buffett split his stock? <g>
This is exactly why you want to split the stock. After the 87 crash i wanted to buy one share of Berkshire Hathaway, it was $2800 a share then. My broker talked me out of it because it would have been my whole portfolio. I had $3000 total (my first year). Yes, I did fire the broker, for those that are wondering. It is now, what, $72,000, I haven't looked lately so I'm not sure. But now I wouldn't buy it because it would still be too big a price. It's not that I don't have positions that big....I just don't start out with positions that big. Plus I think it is the only stock that shows the real number of shares traded in the WSJ, instead of 100s of shares.
