Uh, what, exactly, have I said that "villifies" Reagan, in comparison to the voluminous "hyperbole" of the all Clinton hatred, all the time channel here, where Clinton is Caligula, Capone, the antichrist, Mussolini, Hitler, and Stalin, all rolled into one? The human toll of the wars in Central America is not exactly secret or in dispute, and it's pretty massive compared to anything that can be attributed to Clinton. Yet in local parlance, Reagan's a saint. You explain it.
I don't exactly blame it on Reagan, of course, it's hard to blame much of anything on Reagan, when it's not clear if he was even there. He never told his treasury secretary anything about economic policy, and he never told his secretary of state much either. But that doesn't bother the local "historians" much, they know the "truth". |
