yes there are competitors. You can see a list of RFID suppliers on tsd.org. However NYCT has chosen 3 finalists who are all using Kasten. This will facilitate full system integration regardless who is finally chosen. In other words, Kasten will be providing the rfid tech to any contract with NYCT. It seems likely that they will be used for the entire system of 19 lines. Furthermore as NYCT is the leader, this will likely set the standard for North American CBTC. While there may be other competition, Kasten will clearly be way ahead. I was impressed last year when Kasten was included in all three finalists in the bidding process. This is an example of the high quality of this company. Eventually other companies and more investors will recognize this. What is key is that Kasten survived the loss of Dow Jones Market when Bridges took over. Bridges was horrible in dealing with Kasten and caused the company excessive grief. But with this turnaround I think Kasten is stronger than ever and still sitting debt-free with 10 million in cash.
