OFF TOPIC: What they are trying to tell you is that Cpq's horrible performance should NOT be used as a guide for pc industry health. OK? If dell, msft and intc say it is a little off but ok, you can count on it. By the way, CPQ has basically announced to the world that they are run by morons with this announcement. In my years of focus on this stuff, I just don't recall an announcement just before e reports, after q end, and on a Friday. It may cause some brief problems in a nervous market, but that is all that should happen.
