If you enter 1999 transactions be sure to check the "Allow records AFTER tax year" in step3! The problem seems to be....BEFORE tax year! I don't see this added transaction in the registry and I'm still -1600 shares in the unmatched screen so I assume it's not reading BEFORE tax year? I enter manually 12/31/97 ASND buy1600......etc then save... It appears in bottom window 12/31/1997 ....etc the status window now says: missing date or too short ??? I believe at one time this wasn't there? Since I've tried many times. yes...I'm using the default directory...yes I have checked allow records after tax year. I have created several files since I didn't want to lose anything I already did. ie.Stx98\YourData\1998.qif, Stx98\YourData\1998a.qif, 1998b.qif But that doesn't seem to matter. Once I cross this hurtle...what about exporting the report back into Quicken registry so TaxCut can import into my tax return? Or what would be the correct way to do that? Thanks, Jeff
