The Fortune 500 issue is out. Apple comes in at #273 (based on revenue). Ie, don't expect them to make much of a move upwards next year, due to falling asps, etc. Anyway, I knote that Gateway is a big higher on the list, with revenues 20-25% higher than Apple. Yet Gateway only earned about 10% more. And has more than twice the employees. We know the difference in PEs and book value. Seems to me that this year Apple will get more closely valued to Gateway as it has a shot to outearn them. And if one factors in the sales of ARMHY shares plus a potential share buyback, eps growth might be impressive this year, even without the full year of iMac selling plus P1 revenue stream.

I wonder if it is now safer to be the only Mac OS provider vs being any PC maker? Ie, that the disadvantage of being a non-standard platform now pales compared to being anywhere near the Windows/PC battleground?
