Rude, thanks for your comments. It is a shame that Mason & Pfeiffer can not seem to do what you just did: Let's face it, everyone seems to look at the argument as: Did They stuff or not stuff? It is the duty of Mason to hammer home (some, most) of the points you just illuminated to me to analysts and the investment community at large. The message is not coming thru. Investors expect the worst. If wrong, that is truly a shame. Communication is so important, and, IMO, a poor job was done on Alta Vista, and a poor job is being done on this issue...
Re: Market share. I don't know if you saw the recent Infobeads reports on Dell vs. Compaq market share, Q1...but they seem to have Dell making big time gains vs. Compaq in all segments....Don't ask me how they can compare the two in isolation........I will try to get the URL for you..it was posted back on the Dell thread again today sometime.
