David: <<USR ISPs represent 70% of dialup Internet users.>>

What does this 70% represent?

If the ISPs are buying the ASND Max product line that only supports the K56Flex modems... and ASND has 47% of the remote access market for the ISPs...

ascend.com

"According to the 1995 DellO Oro Group Market Research Report, the Ascend MAX has captured 47 percent of the Access Concentrator market. This makes Ascend the de facto standard access platform for ISPs worldwide. Ascend products allow corporate networks, telephone companies and ISPs to concentrate analog and digital traffic from telecommuters, mobile workers, remote offices and Internet users onto cost-effective digital access lines."

It seems USRX is competing against a majority of the RAS vendors. The LU/ROK team is willing to share the 56kbps profits with the likes of ASND, CSCO, 3COM..etc. ROK and LU will provide the chipset and let the RAS vendors build the platforms. Can someone tell me which RAS vendors USRX is teaming with?
