Chaz2, I think you'll enjoy this analysis of Q's prospects. It was passed on to me by a visitor to the steamy Yahoo Boards:

Keep the QCOM pessimism coming...

I'm no cheerleader for QCOM, but I have been an observer and am now a shareholder. Even myopic pessimists should be able to see and extrapolate big growth coming for this company. Were it not for the litigation and the successfully innovating, fast-moving nonUSA competition like Nokia, QCOM would have had 400-500 million shares by now with a mkt cap equaling MOT (40-50bil).

Jacobs and team know that now is the opportunity for the growth surge they have been waiting for. Count on no less than a 3 for 1 split announcement on 4/20 to bring the float up to minimum levels (70x3=210million) big investors and institutions like for liquidity. The Street likes new darlings with substantive stories, like QCOM. Chances are good that Jacobs and team (and patents) will know how to execute well (they've been rehearsing for 7 years!) and patient shareholders will be fabulously rewarded. The parallel is Xerox in 1960. QCOM will look dirt cheap in two months at a post-split $60/share. Then the shares should really accelerate.

I don't think the PC woes on Monday are going to slow the progress for QCOM or for that matter in post-2 for 1-split NOK. Both will continue being big winners.
