Net2Phone still cracks up. Since I deposited $25 when I tried it out, I still have about $23.00 credit which they won't refund. You sign an agreement up front that they're not responsible for poor quality of calls (dropped packets). The analog to digital to analog conversions still get messed up.

I tried it for the 4th time Friday night when I thought the least internet traffic would help. It did help. Most of the transmission was audible, but once it started breaking up I had to hang up on my brother and call over POTS (plain old telephone service).

I listened to a recorded conference call earlier and it went pretty good, but it was one way transmission. It seems to mess up more when you try to take turns talking. Part of conversation gets dropped.

I wonder if Softbank has tried the service yet.
