Ginny, your math is incorrect. You are quite a bit off in your calculations. Things may not be as terminal as you make them appear. You are missing a few important issues here.
FIGURE THE MATH.....THE SHAREHOLDERS WHO BOUGHT THIS STOCK AT 4 CENTS (REMEMBER THE MAJOR BUYING WITHIN THE MONTH---ANYONE KNOW WHO IT WAS??????) WILL ACTUALLY SEE A PROFIT WHEN IT HITS OVER $1.00/SHARE...FOR THOSE WHO WERE LUCKY TO HAVE BOUGHT DURING THE PAST AT $.25, SAY FOR 25OO SHARES AT A PRICE OF $625 BEFORE COMMISSION, and you were not able to get on the internet, and didn't receive notification like most of us.....JUST THINK OF THE BARGAIN YOU GOT...YOU WILL NOW OWN 100 SHARES...AND YOU WILL BREAK EVEN WHEN IT REACHES $25.00, but that will be before commision..if you have a discount broker, you might be able to sell them for $12...,so actually you will only have to have it reach somewhere (I'm too tired to do the math) at about $25.25 to break even....HEY, CONGRATULATIONS!)
Here is where you are correct: If someone bought 2,500 shares recently at .04/share they would now have (after the 1 for 25 reverse split) 100 shares of VLVT. For them to break even with their original investment (2,500 X .04 = $100) the new VLVT stock would need to be priced at $1.00/share. ********************************************************************** If someone bought 2,500 shares last year (prior to the spinoffs) at $.25/share they would now have 100 shares of VLVT. HERE IS WHERE YOU ARE INCORRECT: For them to break even with their original investment (2,500 X .25 = $625) the new VLVT stock would need to be priced at $25.00 (WHICH IS WHERE YOU ARE INCORRECT)!!!! TO BREAK EVEN THE NEW STOCK WILL NEED TO BE PRICED AT $6.25!!!!! Please do your math again.
HERE IS SOMETHING ELSE TO CONSIDER:
If you bought 2,500 shares recently at $.04 you would now have: (After 1 for 25 reverse split) 100 shares of VLVT. For a total investment of $100. The average share price would now be $1.00.
If you bought 2,500 shares (prior to spinoffs) last year at $.25 you would now have: (After 1 for 25 reverse split) 100 shares of VLVT. (After 1 for 7 reverse split) 357 shares of ADHT (Adhatters) (After 1 for 6 reverse split) 417 shares of EVIR (Envirotec) For a total investment of $625. That adds up to 3 stocks with a total of 874 shares combined or an average of ~$.72/share. With the potential of VLVT, ADHT, and EVIR, that doesn't look so bad, does it?
Who knows how long it may take for the spinoffs to begin trading, but the rewards will come to those who remain patient.
Please everyone just take a deep breath and relax. Things could be a lot worse.
Sincerely,
Ron |
