Fred (and others)-
I know how you feel - I've been trading some fast movers myself, and have suffered several 2 pt and larger losses by simply not being able to get out when the stock suddenly turned.
I've gotten burned using SmartMarket orders - sometimes a couple of points lower than when I entered the order. Now THAT'S when time takes TIME!
I've also had no luck with SmartLimit orders.
Can anyone tell me about whether they've had any luck with a delta order when the stock's dropping like the proverbial piano?
I've never tried sending an Island order that crosses the mkt. to pick off some size because the folks bidding there usually disappear from anywhere near the bid once the bottom falls out - which usually leaves only MMs for a "reasonable"(?) exit.
