<<100 stores - Online - Boy I would love to see some net profit and growth data.>>

John, just my 2 cents.

About the online thingy:

I don't know nothing about business selling music on the retail level. But I know one thing: when I want a CD, I want it now, not in two weeks and I don't want to pay an extra $4-5 for shipping. The only CDs I ever ordered online (from www.cdnow.com) were one of a kind hard to find export/out of print. Maybe older people have more patience and wisdom (I'm 21).

About the 100 stores (and the online) thingy:

You can download for free most new songs you want from sites like www.scour.net (one of many) in mp3 format. And I'm not talking about alt.binaries.sounds.mp3 where you have complete CD to download. This mp3 thing will kill the business if they don't do something. More and more people are becoming aware that you can have your music for free as more and more people get online. I have yet to see how they will reverse this.

But that's just my point of view and I won't say more cause I feel like I talk people out of stock that went thru the roof before...
