Yes, his remarks to Montal were, to say the very least, ill-considered. In the course of my very brief ICQ relationship with Quiel, I had the impression that he thought quite highly of himself and his acumen: he told me that "the judge agreed with [him]" about what constitutes restricted stock, for example. And of course it's clear from Spidey's posts to the thread that he told the Stooges that his testimony was a Triumph, which is, as we can see, hardly the case. He struck me as being exceedingly vain, and the transcripts offer confirmation of that.
