It sure does.

Intel customers will begin to see the results, but with larger L2 caches, starting with Coppermine and Cascades late this year - although DIXON - the mobile Pentium II - already has a 256K L2 cache.

Merced and its follow ons - McKinley, Deerfield, etc. will greatly benefit from these large on-chip caches - some even larger than 1.5 MegaBytes.
