Sure thing. If DeBeers will pay me 100 million cash, Roger Mitchell (my former geo prof at LU)and I will consult with them to improve their general reconnaissance technique. At MPV they have taken lots of samples and are fairly sure of what is happening. No micro to macro problems there. It may interest you to know that in Botswana in 1972 Falconbridge stunned DeBeers with its ability to pick out kimberlites with high resolution aeromagnetic reconnaisance. The first kimberlite found by magnetics was drilled there by the Canadians. My good friend Bob Middleton was the geophysicist on that one. DeBeers became and instant convert after having rejected magnetics as too general a technique after the war despite its success in locating the overlying shale formation that marked the Western Deep Levels formations in Gold. I first started studying the Russian IR techniques to locate taiga forest coverd Kimberlites when I was at HSM in 1976. When you are professional in this business you realize there are few more layers to the onion than the investing public realize. One of the thorniest layer is the dirty public money raising game which stops some of the good help from being hired by the dirty money that tells the paper recipients they gots the expertise.
