Chicken Kitchen Takes First Step In Franchise Expansion Program
PR Newswire - March 08, 1999 08:17

MIAMI BEACH, Fla., March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Chicken Kitchen Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: CKKC) completed the first franchise agreement in an aggressive plan for Chicken Kitchen franchise expansion. The franchisee, Mariano Cibran, has secured a space in the Doral Park strip mall, located in the thriving West Miami, Dade County area. The 1,620-square-foot, in-line leased space is a high-visibility location and expected to draw both corporate and residential business. Doral Park is a well-established shopping center catering to the large industrial complex nearby, the Doral Country Club and Resort next door and surrounding residential communities. This community is also home to the corporate headquarters of Carnival Cruise Lines and Ryder, Inc.

"It is an excellent location offering considerable lunch, delivery and catering business from corporate customers as well as evening and weekend business from the nearby residential area," said Chicken Kitchen CEO and President, Christian de Berdouare. "This agreement is the first step in extending the Chicken Kitchen brand beyond our current company-owned base. Franchise growth will be our primary growth vehicle for 1999 and beyond." There are presently six Chicken Kitchen stores, all company-owned and operating in the Miami, Dade County area.
