Although Brilliant Digital started off developing world-leading compression technology
before the Internet was a business reality, it turned out to be highly relevant to this
emerging media. Kevin quickly saw the potential of the Internet as a distribution medium
for their movies and the need for technical expertise to realise the full potential of their
creation. Kevin decided to start at the top and work from there, sending an e-mail to
Andy Grove, CEO of Intel, describing how their Multipath Movies were optimised for
Intel's Pentium® II processor technology and requesting Intel's aid. To his great surprise
Kevin received an email back the next day saying Intel was very interested and Andy set
up a meeting.

Intel works with leading software vendors around the
globe to ensure there is a huge selection of applications
available that take advantage of their latest technology.
And to ensure PC users continually get a richer
experience Intel gives software developers all the tools
and support to take full advantage of all aspects of new
processors and technologies (MMX™ technology
instructions, AGP and improved floating point
performance for example).

The benefit to developers of working with Intel® architecture is it delivers excellent
performance for all PC software and is engineered for full backward compatibility and
scalability into next generation technology. The latest Pentium II processors extend
processing power further by offering performance headroom for application, media,
communication and Internet capabilities. Visit the Intel Developer relations group site for
more tools and detail.

On Intel's Asia Pacific Software Showcase site there is a list of applications that are
optimised to take advantage of Intel® Pentium II processor capabilities, giving users a
shopping list of applications they can enjoy on their new PC.

To help Brilliant Digital develop and optimise their application, Intel also flew four top
technicians out from the US for a month to work with Anthony Rose, Vice President of
Technology, and his technical team.
"We are working on the Kiss Multipath Musical
Tour. Intel is keen to have more truly multimedia applications where kids start to use their
PCs more effectively for CD quality music as well as video. We are already working with
Intel on how to get the best from the next generation processors" said Mark Miller, Vice
President of Brilliant Digital.
