Thanks. Now I'll return the dollar for your advice! I sit here and watch the large cap tech stocks like AMAT and USRX bounce around quite actively, offering opportunities for making a few dollars day trading. I also invest in a few small cap tech stocks like NANO and SMTL which appear to have good growth rates and also sound fundamentals, but spend long periods dormant.

Any guess as to the cause of the distinction? Large cap/small cap distinction? Smaller floats? Less interest in the smaller stocks? Lack of traded options? The betas of these stocks are roughly similar, but USRX and AMAT clearly oscillate a whole lot mo' than their smaller brothers....
