I am a Qwest investor, in fact its my largest holding. They could buy Espi as they have shown no fear in purchasing what they need. But why buy them if they can work out a strategic relationship. It would be good for Espi as it would give them cash flow, and it would be good for Qwest as they would get what they need without having to pay a lot of money.

I would like to own some Espi but I never purchase stock based upon buyout rumors. It needs solid fundimentals. I plan on checking it out.

Also this CPQ stuff, I don't see this being a major negative. The market has known for months the PC sector is sick. Many shorters are even saying that the mighty Dell is the short of the century, with rising componant prices and cheap PC's, plus nothing forcing the purchase of a new computer like Windows 95 did, they may be right. But anyway, their could be a drop, but I doubt it will last.

A little off topic.
Also the previous post about perception of being an internet company is interesting. I have that same perception of Level 3. It trades within 3 points of Qwest every day. Yet it will loss money for the next 3 years while Qwest will be profitible next quarter. Also its about a year behind by their own admission. But because LVLT is using IP throughout, it must be an internet percieved company. Qwest is precieved, rightly, as a telecom. Also having Crowe in charge doesn't hurt. (Some may not know that he owns a huge amount of Qwest stock by the way.)
